I was meant to carry on doing the reading list for my non-fiction WIP but ended up writing about getting feedback on MS:
http://scribocin.blogspot.com/2010/12/how-to-get-feedback-on-your-manuscript.html
I've decided to set myself a weekly challenge on both of my blogs next year...one writing challenge [writing blog] and one reading challenge [general blog].
It's just really something to make sure I keep blogging...so that will be at least 2 posts a week on my general blog - challenge and random quote.
And at least one post a week on my writing blog...but probably more as editing my first draft should get underway...and of course more research! Where would we be without that research? :)
I've now announced my two blog challenges for next year so there's no backing out of it now! :) Don't worry it isn't anything dangerous like climbing Mount Everest or anything...in fact you may find it a bit of an anti climax when you find out what the challenges are...but I'm doing them not you! :)
the comment has been made already about too many stickies, we just got the one added for useful websites, best not apply for any more at the moment! This one will keep coming to the top because people add to it. The useful websites one has gathered up information from many different threads, which is very useful.
I'm extending the scope of my blog a bit - as well as continuing to post details of free to enter writing competitions and ones to wion books, I'm posting details of some other writing opportunities - special features, unusual markets and other writing related news.
I know - I was watching The Mummy the other week and when that bit came on I just knew it had to go on my blog as a random quote
I love this one as well:
Rick: Well if it ain't my little buddy Beni. I think I'll kill you.
Beni: Think of my children.
Rick: You don't have any children
Beni: Someday I might.
Ok. I'm done now. :p
Added some pictures to my regency period post. They're pictures from the historical society I was a member of so I'm in them myself in regency dress. It seemed appropriate and photographs liven blogs up a bit.
I have just updated my statistics for Alfie's Diary readership for the last month and in December 2010 I had my highest ever readership with over 5,000 pages being read in the month. I feel quite chuffed with that.
I wrote an article about re-enacting Jane Austen - British Regency. I was a member of a historical society for a few years and the article contains information and some of my favourite photographs of that time. The article discusses costumes, events and more. It's something I'm very passionate about because I love history and English literature.
Enjoyable for anyone with an interest in period drama.

Men, unless you're ready to defend today's generation, you might want to sit this one out. I didn't hold anything back. :P

Just trying to fill up my blog with a few posts so it doesn't look so sad and empty. I'll soon slow down.
