Hi
I want to send out a series of short childrens story`s for picture books .Do you send out as you would like to see it printed, small sections on one page, or do you send it out as one complete story say on two pages , and let the publisher( if accepted) decide how to break the story up?
Comments
I'm not an expert but the things I've picked up are...
DON'T send pictures unless you are a professional illustrator. Many publishers have their own illustrators they like to use. And if you do decide to send illustrations send them separately ie not inserted into the text.
DON'T break it up into how you imagine the final book would look.
But always check publishers guidelines for info.
Hope that helps
