Has anyone done this? Is it worth it?

  • Someone else asked me and I had a look - it mentions how to find an illustrator, which puts it firmly in the 'this is for people who are self-publishing' bracket if not the 'this person doesn't know what they are talking about' bracket.

However, they have sold over 4,000 so must be making a packet even at £12.
  • The site it links to is one of those typical "every second line underlined or in bold" types that puts me off whenever I see them.

The organisation that accredits the "certificate" doesn't look that legit either - http://www.arijitbhattacharyya.com/accreditation

From Wiki - "International Accreditation Organization (IAO) is not recognised by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or the United States Department of Education."

I guess if it teaches you something then it's worth £12, but don't go into it expecting anymore than a "well done" sticker and a dodgy "qualification" :P
  • Thanks, I'll probably give it a miss. It may be really cheap but I don't have tons of time at the moment and would actually like to get *some* writing done.
  • Got a bright advert for everything else over the page so gave up

Ans some of those 4,000 will 'produce' a book that they'll think is good enough to print or send to a publisher...:(
