  • If you can't see it, it will be because of your own settings. I view them in TweetDeck.
  • Makes you wonder if Twitter isn't mucking around with the reach like Facebook do...

  • It doesn't work in the same way, Carol. I know you've mentioned in the past not seeing some of the # tweets. I would look at your settings.
  • Settings? Settings?

*goes off to look at Twitter settings*
  • Baggy, I've checked my settings and can't see any reason why I'm not seeing Claudia's tweets.

  • On Twitter or TweetDeck? All I can suggest is you google the issue. I don't have a problem and I don't do anything out of the ordinary. TweetDeck includes everything – even tweets that begin 'at'
  • I use Twitter on my desktop and only use Tweetdeck for the scheduled tweets.
  • That might be the problem, Carol.
  • I've now done the unfollow then refollow. Have to go out shortly so will google the issue later.
  • I don't always see all the #writingchat tweets either, even when I'm in Tweetdeck. On a few occasions I've seen some tweets in the chat from one person, but not all.

At one time I'd muted someone without realising, so missed their tweets – but I missed everything by them, not just the odd one. Most often it happens with people I'm not following, but I do see some tweets from people in that category so it's not the whole answer.

I usually realise I've missed something because someone else's reply does show up. If I click that to reveal the whole thread then I do see the original tweet.

Could it be because there are often quite a flurry of tweets and if they overlap one gets lost?
  • I often see tweets the next morning that I didn't see during the session.

Then you need to learn how to use it!

Learning isn't just the basics of how to write. It covers research, marketing, social media, trying new forms and genres – all kinds of things.
