I wasn't going to write anything for the Friday Fictioneers this week because I have guests arriving this afternoon and I'm going to be very busy for the next few days. However, when I saw the photo a story instantly wrote itself:
I didn't want to refer to the coronavirus outbreak in this week's Friday Fictioneers story because I knew others would too, but in the end, I couldn't help myself.
Enjoyed your story, Lizy. I'm too busy packing up the house to blog this week. It doesn't usually take me long to come up with a story - it's the reciprocal reading and commenting that I won't have time for. And next week will be a miss too as I'll be travelling.
It's been a while, but being confined to the flat alone has prompted me to fill my time in creatively where possible. Here's a blog post about my tonsillectomy when I was a kid
Before I even looked at the Friday Fictioneer's photo prompt I vowed not to write a virus related story this week. Hope you don't think my effort is too daft:
Ah, thanks Wilts. I'm stressed enough from constantly reading and hearing about the virus without reading depressing fictional stories about it too so I definitely didn't want to add to the doom and gloom.
Wrote a story based on a real experience this week and some of the comments have surprised me. I thought it would be perceived as a light hearted, funny story!! *sighs*
Took one look at this week's Friday Fictioneers photo prompt and a story jumped out at me. (Unlike last week which I didn't manage). It's not my best work, but nice to pause for a moment to write a teensy bit of fiction.

Mine also wrote itself, but I didn't have time to post it until today.
