Weird o'Wonderful Lectures: Launch with author F.G. Cottam

The Weird o’ Wonderful (Wo’W) Lectures are being launched by the author of several paranormal thrillers, F.G. Cottam, on Wednesday 11th May, 2011 at 7pm at the Mansion House in central York. He will be talking about, reading from and signing copies of his recent book ‘The Waiting Room’ and there will be a drinks reception afterwards.

The Waiting Room is a gripping spine-tingler focusing on several dark and mysterious occurrences at a disused waiting room in Shale Point Station. A retired rock star, Martin Stride calls in Britain’s top ghost hunter Julian Creed, who is, until spending a night in the waiting room, a fraud and paranormal sceptic. The book is full of suspense and intrigue, with vivid and rich writing, and great characterisation: a real page-turner.
F.G. Cottam has written several other literary thrillers in this genre including ‘The House of Lost Souls’, ‘Dark Echo’ and ‘The Magdalena Curse’. He has a new book coming out in November this year called ‘Brodmaw Bay’.

The Wo’W Lectures will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month usually in the Guildhall from 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm). Tickets are £5 (£3 concessions with ID).
