It's National Poetry Day today. Are you celebrating it?

Nice web page.

  • I think it is time
    To tell all in rhyme.
Let this thread be the muse
    To tell all your news.

I'll be out for the day
So will not have much say.

    See you later
    Alligators.
  • It's National Poetry Day,
But I won't let it get in the way
    Of writing crap prose
    And picking my nose
While I'm thinking of something to say.

    It's National Poetry Day,
And I'm striving to waffle away
    To appear intellectual
    And not ineffectual
    While hopefully not sounding gay.

    It's National Poetry Day,
And I'm obviously out of my zone
    Of grandiose prose
    That gets up your nose
As for its completion you pray.

    It's National Poetry Day
And I think I've done more than my bit.
    As one normally rhyme-less
    I strove for sublimeness
In place of my usual sh*t.

    TA RA!

    *Goes for lie down.*
  • Brilliant, SM. You have the knack. Even if you are knackered.

I am working towards next week which is book week when I will be at a school in Bridport - two schools actually, for the Bridport Open Book Week.

    Doing my thing.

    Which isn't done yet.
  • Happy NoPoDa everyone! On second thoughts, that just sounds crap.

Here's my little ditty from Twitter:

    It's National Poetry Day
When words come out to play
    So put down some lines
    In free verse or rhyme
    It's National Poetry Day!

I think snailmale could be the next Pam Ayres...

Possibly the result of the hormone injections, Lou.
  • It's allowing you to channel her!
  • Like Like Smile Smile (for this thread)
  • That's all over for another year, then.
  • Ooops, missed it
