Do you have a book in print you want to promote?

edited February 2013 in - Resources
Following on from Gina's thread about the work involved in promoting her book, I'd just like to say If anybody has a book in print they want to promote, they can always contact me. I will soon be preparing competitions to be held in 2014 so please do approach me if you have something.

This is the website for the competitions:

I won't be able to accept every book I receive but please do contact me if you'd like to find out more. Whisper here if you like.

I'm pleased to state (again) Dan Purdue is judge for 'START' FLASH FICTION COMPETITION 2013 and his book 'Somewhere to Start From' is being offered as a prize.

  • I can confirm it's a good way to raise your profile - I've looked at my blog traffic statistics and I get a lot of visitors following the links from the Erewash Writers' site.

Please do enter the "Start" competition; I'm looking forward to reading some excellent stories :-)
  • I will in about three months time, but until then I only have e-books. Also I write romance, which not all your people might be thrilled to receive!
  • I think it's a brilliant idea.

PB - if the comp had a 'romance' theme your book would be a perfect prize. Don't let genre stop anyone considering this.

PB, it's Valentines Day tomorrow, lol.

A whole day devoted to romance.

I think many would be thrilled to receive a book with a 'romance' theme.

That's true, I'll have to organise a very fast giveaway! My publisher is supposed to be emailing me an Epub copy to use for giveaways...checks email again...drums fingers...

Valentines Day 2014 is a good date to put in your diary for promotion, PB, :) There may be local events in your area or something you could tag onto?
  • I will in a few months, a children's book.
