PD James dies aged 94

edited November 2014 in Writing
Terrible news, but she had a good, long life, was loved my millions, and died peacefully in her sleep. I can think of worse ways to go.

  • Didn't realise she was that old.

But going peacefully is a blessing.
  • She didn't really become famous until her 8th Adam Dalgliesh book came out. She had a long career away from writing, and a lot of personal sadness.
But I do wish she hadn't written Death Comes to Pemberley.
  • Hah!

I tried to reread some of my favourites a while ago and found them unbearably slow and stodgy. i adored them when I was younger.
