Has anyone else investigated that ad top right of the page? I saw this massive knife and thought it was a murder mystery event.

Has anyone noticed the same person won the 2015 comp as did the 2014 comp? Does nobody else enter this comp except this chap?

I didn't realise they made the winning stories available to read. I tried writing something for this competition the first time around, and failed miserably (I mean in terms of the writing - I didn't even get to a point where I could have submitted the story). Ever since then, every year I think "Oh, I must have another go at that", then convince myself I don't write the kind of thing that would stand a chance. Which is silly as I've no idea what kind of thing would stand a chance.

Just read there were 436 entries. For a free competition with such a big prize that doesn't seem many.

I entered this comp. a couple of years back - and got nowhere. But at least it made me produce a story that I wouldn't otherwise have written.

I actually saw the advert on the top right hand corner of the page last night- no idea why it showed up as ad-blocker was on. It's not there now.
