It always looks like nothing is happening - you have to paste the screenshot from the clipboard to Word or Paint or something. Have you followed ALL the instructions?
I was just going to say that! Click PRTSCRN, open Paint, Choose the paste option button (top left) Then File, save as, Jpeg. (or edit first if you don't want all of it)
I've always wondered how to do that. Things you can learn on this site...
Me too! I was just trying to print a map showing location of my chosen carpark in Dublin... oh the shenanigans I've been through... and if I'd checked into talkback FIRST - it would have saved me all that bother. ~X(
You can also take photos (and choose which format you want) with things like Skitch in Evernote. Skitch was a mac thing but Evernote have ruined it. But it's very handy for screenshots of anything, you can size it and print it and draw on it in the app.

Thanks, heather.
I know where the button is but can never remember what to do after that!
Have you followed ALL the instructions?
Clicked PRTSCRN, opened Word, right clicked with mouse, chose Paste.
There it was!
The trouble is, I wanted to share it as a photo, but it doesn't know it is one.
Click PRTSCRN, open Paint, Choose the paste option button (top left)
Then File, save as, Jpeg.
(or edit first if you don't want all of it)
Now I have things all over my screen which I need to put away tidily...
