Manga (comic & graphic novels)

  • This morning, when I checked Amazon UK's top twenty gay fiction list, I found my book, The Dandelion Clock. Brokeback Mountain was there, too (twice). But 7 of the 20 consisted of manga (comic & graphic novels).

Should I go on an illustrating course?

  • Congratulations! Very, very impressed.

Don't bother with the illustration course. How many Mangas are in twice?
  • Thanks, Dee. The book's doing well on Amazon.com, too - it's been in the top 60 (out of approx 2,000) since Christmas, peaking at no. 27.

I think the 7 manga books are all different ones.

I've written a 25,000-word piece which my publishers will probably take once I get round to editing it. At present, it's a very short novel. If I found a manga illustrator, it would take on epic proportions!

  • I've just looked at Amazon UK's gay romance section. The Dandelion Clock is at No.7. Ahead of it are six manga books.

If anyone out there can draw manga, please let me know!
