Don't know about you but I couldn't imagine doing this. I rarely drink anyway and the closest I get to drugs is anti-depressants and beta blockers! I don't drink because I don't like the feeling of not having access to my creative mind. I know writers like Jane Wenham Jones likes drinking while writing; but for me it would be counter productive.

  • He speaks about his wife in On Writing. She sounds an amazing woman. I am currently on medication which I feel numbs my creativity. I am in the process of coming off it gradually and its a slow process but I look forward to being able to write with a clear mind.
