  • Yes, planting of evidence has always been a possiblilty. It's a good job really that DNA evidence cannot be solely relied on in court, isn't it?
  • Yes, but the trouble is coincidences do happen and someone could find themselves in difficulty for a period of time.
  • I agree, but the DNA multiplication techniques have been around for many years and the ease of transfer is not a new concept.
    Each time we hold hands, hold a door handle, press an elevator button etc, someone else's DNA is transferred to our skin, meaning that a totally innocent person's DNA can appear anywhere in the world rapidly. Makes you think, doesn't it? I'm sure many people have had a tense period trying to quash circumstantial evidence issues because of this.

    The world is awash with DNA fragments...next time you drink a glass of water, imagine what it has acquired on route to you (nice thought eh?)
