Have you seen the new website called

It will go fully live in March. It's a way of linking children, schools and kids' writers to spread the word and encourage reading through school visits etc. You can put your profile and picture on there for free, and advertise your books if you have any. I have just put myself on there (as Rosie Kent), answering lots of questions kids might want to know about me. It's easy and fun.
