An honourable mention
Just logged on the UKAuthors site for the results of their opening pages comp from last year. I get a mention! Okay, so its on page nine of ten, after the long list,( 25) the very highly commended entries (36) and in the notable for potential section (at the end). Still - thrilled to bits. This was my first attempt at a novel and I got amazing feedback, well worth the fee. I feel that my writing has improved because of it. They also had a huge number of entries, so many in fact that the winners have just been announced. The comp closed on 31st December 2009. It's made my day.
