Just heard that one of my short stories has been accepted for this annual. The story has the same title as one of the 4 finalist novels in the current Mills and Boon competition - but mine has neither a vampire nore a witch in sight!

Ceka, have you heard if any other writers have been accepted yet? I was invited to submit a story for the 2012 annual and have not heard a thing since submission.

I e-mailed and asked! the deadline was 24th September but because it was a requested submission, I gave it 4-5 weeks and queried while I was chasing up and typing up all my other loose ends. The ed said she'd be contacting officially but I guess since I was already on line, she felt she could tell me anyway. I should just send a friendly query if I were you. PS the other reason I wanted to know about that particular story is that I'd found another outlet for it and if MW didn't want it, I was going to try it there.

Thank you for the info, I was wondering for the same reason! I was quite chuffed to be invited to submit a story to begin with. They've taken a few of mine in the past but most recently I've had more commissions for articles.
