Just been browsing this, and a page out of the book about scene development.

Can anyone tell me please, what "scene provocation" means? I have tried google but I don't think the suggestions are any use.

Thanks.

  • It's really about why the scene is there or needed I think Dora. When you arrive at a scene you landed there for a reason. That reason will either be something that drove you to it or something that will develop from it. So the scene provocation is the catalyst that made the scene appear and be needed in the story.

What was the conflict that created the scene? The answer to that question is your scene provocation.
  • Thank you.
