Self Published Book wins Young Minds Award

Siobhan's book Dear Dylan was turned down by agents and publishers. One publisher offered a two book deal and then messed Siobhan about so much that she decided to self publish. The Young Minds Book Award is voted for by the most important people in publishing - the readers.
Siobhan now has agents banging at her door. Well done Siobhan

    For too long self-publishing has been derided in this country, unlike the USA. This win shows that the 'Big Boys' can (and often) get it wrong. I see so much utter trash in the bookshops these days as I'm sure you all do.
