It is the one you critiqued a version of for me, GF (Thanks again!) and I was initially thinking of pitching it as a pocket novel, but it got a bit long for that. I entered it in a novel writing comp and beat over 600 others. Prize was publication - the print version will be released March 30th. http://www.facebook.com/PatsyCollins.writer
Both Kindle and paperback Pets in a Pickle feature in the top 10 humour in cats, dogs and animals category.
http://tinyurl.com/7shlxtm selling at 85p
My sequel, Pets on Parade, which came out on the 2nd April is currently 1300 in the Kindle bestseller list but despite being way above the Pets in a Pickle rating doesn't have a placement in the top 10 of the above category. Trying to find out why this is.
http://tinyurl.com/d2b7p6a selling at a promotional price of 99p.
The 'click to look inside' facility has just come up on the Kindle version this afternoon so you can see how I start the book. It's via an Internet card sent to my receptionist of a Santa Claus who, instead of popping down the chimney when you click on his sack, starts to urinate down it. ( my juvenile sense of humour strikes straightaway). Now is this sufficient to make you read on or does it just pee you off I wonder.
I've now 'Liked', agreed tags - or in some cases added tags where there weren't any on Louise, Kayess and Grimmy's books on Amazon.co.uk. As I've ordered from Amazon.com in the past I've also been able to do this on that platform too AND 'like' their Author pages there (you can't do this on .co.uk)
Liking and tagging affects rankings. If we could all do this for TBers' books we'll be supporting our fellow writers. I always do this - my thanks to those of you that have done the same for me.
Another of my co-authored books in the 'commandment' series was published on Kindle today, 'Honour your Father and your Mother'.It is retailing at just over £1, with the paperback issue due later this month.
Here's the link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Honour-Father-Mother-Commandments-ebook/dp/B007ZQ4O7M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1335993338&sr=8-2
It's worth downloading and checking out this article, that I put in this thread, guys. There's some useful stuff in it about how to tweak the rankings etc to promote your book.
The third book in the series of 15 commandment-based books that I am writing/publishing this year has been published on Amazon Kindle today. Paperback version heads off to be printed early next week, so it will be a joint launch celebration in my household.
The new e-book/A6 booklet is 'Love your Neighbour'.
The Kindle link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Love-your-Neighbour-Commandments-ebook/dp/B008DSO1Q0/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1340385680&sr=8-10
Please do let me know what you think of it (my church has endorsed the first two books). Likes, tags, whatever are most welcome.
My book, Love your Neighbour (link in last post) is on free Kindle download today (saturday). Please check it out.
Formatting is a little odd (Amazon did this!!), but hope you like the content.
My guide to compassionate living (it features ways to be kinder to humans and animals), Living Cruelty Free is available on Kindle in the UK and the USA. Here's the UK link - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Living-Cruelty-Free-Compassionate-ebook/dp/B0083ILV2M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1342554508&sr=8-2
To be honest, I worry that longer length non-fiction won't sell on Kindle, but I hope to be proved wrong:)
My latest book(let) is now available on Kindle, as of last night, retailing at just under £1. Paperback version due for release at the end of the month.
Here's the link to 'Sole God' for the UK Amazon site:

Hi all, if supernatural thrillers are your thing you may like my ebook 'Black Moth'. Only one pound:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0052YGXO6
"The Aztecs called it the Lake of the Midnight Butterfly.
Hidden inside a cave in the Sierra Madre, the lake's secrets were known only to the high priests of Tezcatlipoca, the god of night and destiny. Those who entered its waters were said to be changed, their minds opened to a darker realm where strange, fluttering phantoms hinted at events yet to unfold. The Aztec priesthood foresaw their peoples fate even before the conquistadors ships made land. Determined to preserve the source of their powers they sealed the cave entrance, leaving behind only folklore and rumour.
Now a landslide has revealed the lake to a new world, and Solomon Hardy, ex-diver, must face his own demons to discover the secrets that fuelled the Aztec empire.
BLACK MOTH is a gripping supernatural thriller where the world of the dead collides with the world of the living."
I've been subscribing to Writing Magazine for several years now and recently got up-to-date with the website ...
My debut novel - Tiberius Found - has been featured in the Members' News section of this month's (September) issue and is available on Kindle and Kobo, priced £1.54.
"Daniel Henstock's parents are murdered on his sixteenth birthday and he discovers that his life, so far, has been a lie. He's been genetically engineered and those responsible wan thim back.
To survive Daniel has to run. And run hard. But it was never going to be easy or simple.
When his liberator is captured Daniel returns and puts his life on the line to re-pay the debt."
Special promotion this week. My novel Losing Lucy is FREE to download until Friday.
Please download it - even if you don't want to read it! It will help my ratings, and you never know - you might enjoy it! A few reviews would be much appreciated too .
Thanks
Viv
Wow, what is happening with Kindle sales at the moment? In March, my book was at 32.117. This week, it sold 99 copies and has gone up to 2,400 in the rankings! It's been averaging about 55-60 sales per week all summer.
I'm not sure what it means though that I've still only got six reviews and four likes... Well, at least I'm getting lots of bad reviews!
How are other people finding Kindle sales at the moment?
BB, that's great! I don't know how I've never come across it before! I'm just trawling through the reviewers to see who would be most suitable. Thanks again!
BB, that's great! I don't know how I've never come across it before! I'm just trawling through the reviewers to see who would be most suitable. Thanks again!
I found it on Twitter and although I can't accept any more books purely for reviewing, I do get work from it.
I know you are checking them out and this is essential to anyone using the service. A badly written review, or even one that's too gushing, won't help an author.
I've contacted one of the reviewers, BB, who is based in the UK and reviews children's books. She replied very promptly and seems very 'together'. She's got 170 to read first (!), but hopes to get to mine by Christmas. She's also said that she would like to read them all, one by one. Great! There's another that reviews adult short stories, of which I have two collections, but her contact link doesn't seem to work. Anyway, I'll probably try a few.
Hi, my latest e-book is now out on Amazon Kindle for less than 99p. Any likes would be appreciated! Nice reviews to get me started would be even better, but I'm not trying to be greedy...
When single mother, Laura Walker, moves to Dartmoor from London with her teenage daughter, Nikki, all she wants to do is make a success of running Puckleigh Cottage Guest House for her parents whilst they are abroad. With the double blow of a recent divorce and redundancy from her job as a nurse, Laura is determined to make the most of her new venture.
Soon Laura meets dashing neighbour and skilled horseman, Tom Wilson. Despite her efforts to resist his charisma, she quickly falls head over heels in love. However, she realises that she has stumbled into a dark and treacherous world of twin rivalry as Toms brother, Pete, fights dirty to retain his position to inherit the family business. As Tom goes head-to-head against his brother, determined to be seen as an equal in his fathers eyes, Laura starts to suspect hes hiding a big secret from his past.
After an old gypsy woman reads Lauras tea leaves and predicts impending danger, Laura feels troubled is Tom really the man she thinks he is or is she getting carried away by the thrill of a new relationship?
Love, hate, mystery and explosive twin rivalry create excitement in this modern romance as it reaches a thrilling conclusion.
Just thought I'd let you know that for the next 3 days, my YA Fantasy, Mark of the Dragon Queen, will be FREE at Amazon. Though it's YA, most of my reviews have been from very satisfied adults, so don't be put off by the YA tag! I'd love some more reviews if anyone has the time or inclination! :D (PS.I have thick skin!)
This is the first time that I've visited this thread. Your lovely books are all so cheap that I'm going to download and read as may as I can. My OH bought me a kindle for my 50th b/day last year and sadly, I've just not been able to get used to it. Perhaps all your lovely books will finally give me the push that I need!
can anyone 'tick' on amazon and what does this do...?
Clicking on the 'like' key, ticking that you like it... yes, these seem to help a book rise up the rankings, as do good reviews. I tend to click (tick) the like button on all TBers' books that I find on this thread. I hope it helps you all.
Thanks Tiny NELL. written down all the book titles and authors on this thread so I'll look at them all again and try find the 'like' button. My second book is due out any day now so maybe that is why there is a delay...Cheers!!

This is my fantasy novel, Discord's Child, for young adults and older.

It's well down the sales lists at the moment, but I'm hoping that will improve once I get a new cover and the sequel comes out.

BUY MY BOOKS, PLEASE!!!
I wonder if that will do it.
If you go to the book tweeting blog you will find free reviewers there:

I'm on there - but have over 50 to read at the moment...

Well, I guess in terms of promotion, when you make statements like that, you need to add a link to your books! :-)
They're all squatting there, at the top of the page . . .
