  • I bought one, Elizabeth... but it was difficult to find. I scoured the shelves, dug around behind fishing and antiques magazines, searched between individual copes of WM and finally asked someone if they had it. He had to ask someone else who said that they were kept behind the cash desk.

I concluded that it must be as dangerous as cigarettes, but bought it anyway!
  • Has it got a nude centrefold?
  • Our WH Smith puts them in the same section as the art magazines. But they have usually all sold by this time of the month. On one of the end units, bottom shelf, right at the back of the shelf.
  • Mine arrived a while ago - I subscribe.
  • There were a lot of WF's, and a few WM's today, but to see them I have to crouch down and lean over to see the back tier, it's a pain...
  • whsmith is pure rubbish i tell you.
  • the guy said as they have had to move things around they have had to cut some magazines to fit them all in . just not good enough
  • NO it is not good enough.
  • Especially as they've probably NOT cut back on motorbike mags and porn.
  • When Writers News featured my last book, I was tempted to wave the magazine about when I saw it for sale in Tescos.
  • You should have!
  • You missed a trick there, Stan. Think of all the customers you could have bashed over the head as they headed for the tills...
  • Or hills...
  • Not many hills around here!
  • who can i email or write to. to complain about it

Writers' Forum have a website - their contact details will be on there.

    http://www.writers-forum.com/
  • I subscribe and have my copy delivered in the post.
  • who can i email or write to. to complain about it
    The Mayor of Bedford?

  • thanks bb. well dont you think the shops are gonna loseout on sales of other items as well if we all got them through post and other mags there would be no shops.
  • It's more convenient for me to subscribe - apart from having magazines delivered, it's easier to record the expenditure. I still spend enough at Tesco, so I doubt they mind too much.
  • Have just sent my email to writers forum.
  • It's more convenient for me to subscribe
Convenience is interpreted by our different circumstances. I haven't been able to take out subscriptions for years because of my lifestyle. There should be a choice for everyone - subscription or easy access via shops.
  • Best write to the editor, Claudia. I'm sure they'd welcome feedback.
  • I'm not interested in buying Writers Forum on a regular basis. My comment was about subscriptions in general.
  • I think it's being addressed better now, with the ability to buy and download via phones and tablet devices.
  • Yes, I've just subscribed to The Week and had the option of paper, download or both. I opted for the paper version.
  • There were lots of WF in my WHSmith yesterday, anyway I subscribe.
  • #-o and i just want one copy.
  • Did you find one copy?
  • I got my WF yesterday.
  • I don't suppose my letter's in?

I won't bother buying it this month if not!
  • I didn't see it. Mine is.

    *sighs*
  • Ah, it can only handle one TBer at a time.

    Great stuff, Baggy!
  • *chuckles*

Bit of nonsense, but at least they have my name right.
  • Muffin-Scoffer?
  • *nods*

    Something like that.
  • I saw BB's letter - well done, BB. Haven't read it cover to cover yet.
  • Has it got a nude centrefold?
I sent a picture for consideration.
  • You mean that there is nothing on the centre pages?
