Anyone know how to remove tabs from an open office document?

Thanks, Mrs B. Unfortunately I don't have Notepad. I think it's only available for windows?

Switch on the non-printing characters function (Looks like a reverse P)
Highlight the first occurrence of the tab (a forward facing arrow)
Go to Edit Search and replace
Click on Replace All
Does that do it? Why do you want to do this?
