Advert in November's WM

  • There's an advert on page 43 of the November Writing Magazine, beginning 'Free CD - Value £29.'

Have any of you sent for this CD, or do any of you know anything about this?  It looks tempting, but also seems too good to be true.  I imagine it might just be full of advice on how to sell e-books on ebay or something.
  • Hadn't noticed. And I don't read the adverts.
  • You have to send stamps to the value of £3.77.  I expect they are hoping you'll sign up to something expensive once you've got it!  I wonder if the cd will tell you anything you don't already know?  Only one way to find out if you're really curious.
  • Oh that one.
  • Yep! Just a hook to draw you in to something more expensive.
  • If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
  • It certainly will be. And as it didn't give details...
  • It was in last months as well.  Remember: There's no such thing as a 'free lunch'.  Well actually, that's not so true as I found a half eaten kebab in the street last week.  mmmm.
  • Was the kebab tasty?
  • I don't think I'll bother getting the CD!
  • Never found a cd as tasty as a free kebab.
