Helping hand to sell books.

This is to inspire :O) others independent authors.

We have now got another 3 self publishers asking for help to promote and sell their books, one is pretty disabled which makes us feel even better helping :O)

Its is heart breaking when you find out they shell out money, usually on POD, but have very minimal sales :O(

So far all the ones who have asked me and Carol to help then sell their books have all sold copies :O)

There is always a way, so keep trying ok :O) go to bookfairs or get yourself a website (you can get free websites on the internet and they are pretty easy to create) and just talk to everyone you meet about what you do :O) we always carry a business card and copies of our book, just incase someone asks about what we do, they nearly always buy a copy there and then, we sold 2 today in a local cafe we were at and also the local bookshop ordered 3 more copies :O)

Well done to the people we're helping you know who you are :O)

Incidentally Gary, have you listed any of these books with Amazon?

I'd be more than willing to pop a link on Pantechnicon's website when it launches to enable people to buy it online :)

In fact if any of the books you're peddling have a sci-fi, fantasy or horror bent, we could even include an excerpt in the magazine and an interview with the author(s) of the piece to plug even more :)

I am happy promoting any books or magazines except porn (erotica is ok).  I use the links from amazon as I get the picture of the book and the isbn numbers and a bit of a synopsis, which helps to show people what they buying if they want to buy.

I am more than happy to help in whatever you want to do :) I like the ideas you have mentioned for your new mag :O)  I love space 1999, wobbly walls etc and the spray they use to seal the glass when its been broken! lol :O)

The author review and your ideas your offering would be great :O) In fact I am busy putting together our first edition of independent authors, and I am putting a few reviews of new authors and what they are hoping to achieve :O) if you want to write an article about what your doing I be happy to include it and then a follow up later on, I am not into contracts etc at the moment, the mag will state all articles will be the property of the writer etc! :O)

Send me an email and what you think you would like to do, I kinda thinking of a monthly sci-fi review, maybe you could do that, we'll see how it goes, and if you got the time at the mo, (I think I read you recently left your job), but more importantly your willing to ;O) :O)
