  • I got a parcel today with a letter to say I'm one of five runners up in the Writers' Advice Centre for Children's Books competition.  I won a book about writing for children.

Of course, the main purpose of the competition was to drum up custom for their story assessment service, but I'm still very pleased, and I went out and bought a bottle of wine to celebrate.
  • Well done!
  • Congratulations, Evaine.
  • Great news. It's a success no matter how it comes. Next time you'll be first!
  • Good stuff.

  • That's great news, very encouraging news in fact. Well done.
  • Thank you, all.  Next time it'll be the novel!
  • Hope you're still basking in that warm glow of success!
