  • I have just recently downloaded the microsoft reader software, and I intend to buy the sony e-reader when they hit the shops.

    Can anyone explain why publishers are charging the same price for an electronic download as a paperback?.  Before the big houses got involved the prices started at £3, so why are people like random house charging £6 when unit cost is nowhere near as printing and binding a book?.
  • Greed probably.
  • Maybe, by some miracle, writers' royalties are going to be higher?
