    AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I have just spent the last hour and half trying to fathom out how to put a background on my blog...after much searching and a few expletives - I finally managed to get it to work!

Although it does help if I learnt to read instructions properly ;) But I did read these particular instructions as I was approaching the end of my tether, so you can't blame me for misreading it really!

Although be warned if you visit my blog - it is very very purple! :)

The last time I uploaded a blog I wrote it in my lunch hour - however I was dismayed to find that I couldn't copy and paste from Word and had to re-type the whole thing.

I was just typing a few notes for a blog on OneNote, when I right clicked what I had typed to find a bit on the menu that said 'blog this'. You can link your blog up to OneNote which will send it through to Word where you can then publish it to your blog!! Some of you may have been aware of that.

Yay, saves me some time. I don't know whether you can do this without going via OneNote - but I'm not really botheres as it still saves time.

new post, although this one isn't really to do with writing, but it is another subject that my blog will cover.

  • Although I'm currently on a 'blog break' I've tweaked the presentation on my blog with a photo and a few lines.
It's supposed to look 'gritty'... if anyone's got a minute let me know what you think here or there.

    Cheers,
    Col
  • So, Col.... how does 'Manchester crime fiction' differ from other crime fiction?

    Excellent reading, btw.

From Mabh, ex-Mancunian and seeker of truths ;)
  • I've updated my warped ways, and changed the background, which really I need to change.

But because of school and I want to focus my time and energy on my showcase blog, I've had to put this on the back burner. Sowwy for people who followed and liked :(

  • makes sense, Pixie. It's so easy to be distracted by things. Like my dymo label machine refusing to work, even though the right software and drivers have been downloaded, it's a stupid thing to annoy me but it is! and I keep thinking about it instead of getting on with work.
You've got way more than me to think about, with exams and all. Don't worry about the blog, there will be time for that when all else settles.
  • Oi! Pixie! No apologising, please. Your fans will await your convenience ;)

You'll have to get used to mollifying crowds, you know. All part of being a published author.

    :-)
  • Blog update for those interested in ways of approaching the slog of editing your masterpiece!

Also, if you fancy a read of some stories and flash fiction, have a nosey.

  • A second blog, Red?
    Think you have new follower.

    Mabh,
    (Thanks)
    Choose an answer...
    a) Grittier.
    b) It doesn't.
    c) It just my take and there's room for more crime novels to be set in such a big city.
    d) a & c
    e) b
    f) This wine's strong!
    ;)
