Those last are examples of simple sentences according to my grammar book ( Peck & Coyle ) The first are fragments but of what use is grammar to the poet anyway? The sumptuous, squelchiness of mud is my concern. What the bay tree I ousted from its cosy pot and planted with eight gallons of water, in the lawn, thinks of it is anybody's guess.
