    http://upthedownescalator.wordpress.com/
  • I have some Writers' Forums from the 1990s. No where near as old, but it's incredible to see how it changed from that format to John Jenkins's and then to the current one.
  • Not VERY writing related so maybe should not be on here ;)

Anyway, politicians have to fill more forms in ...

  • Interesting blog post Lexia and I think it deserves a place here yes. Writing is about ideas and communication isn't it? So all posts welcome as far as I'm concerned.

    http://sallyjenkins.wordpress.com

Would telling our stories in front of the mirror make us choose better, more precise language and drop empty words like 'nice' and 'quite'?
  • Maybe sally, but in my case more likely to stop me writing altogether.
It's that accent - dunno where it comes from !

Nice idea anyway and quite possibly true.
Now, how do you define "better" ?

    http://rosalie-warren.blogspot.com/2011/02/being-childrens-writer-scary-stuff.html
  • I tried to leave a message there, Rosalie but it just kept flicking me out. I reckon you can cope with the scary side, sunshine - let's face it, most of us would be very glad to have got to the (published novel) stage of NEEDING to be coping with it!
