Poetry on Kindle 3

edited February 2011 in - Writing Problems
I asked for help on the above topic, but omitted to say what the problem was. My husband has placed my memoir, The Find on Kindle (not quite finished doing it yet), as the poems contained in the book appear with a blank line between the lines of poetry. Does anyone know how to get rid of these blank lines, in order that a blank line is only left between verses? In the original word document, the text is in single line spacing, with a blank line between verses.

I was looking into this to edit my stuff on there the other day. A suggestion I got was to make sure you use the WYSIWYG option in the HTML sheet. As I haven't tried it myself yet I can't point any further than that. I'm sure if you looked on the Amazon Kindle forum or mobileread you'd find a more helpful answer

  • Thank you, ST, for your suggestions. Apparently, my husband says he can't use HTML, as he doesn't know the language. I've just joined mobileread forum, so maybe someone there can help. The other query we have is how does one start each chapter on a new page for Kindle 3?
