    Hubby and I danced to this at our wedding and a local band play it for us every time we go see them. I'm gutted. :(

    I used to rush home from my Saturday job in Woollies to watch The Monkees prog, had their pics all over my bedroom walls.
    Collected all the Monkee cards in the bubble gum packs, had all their records.

    :( I used to sit glued to the front of the telly to watch them, too, Kateyanne.
    I went and saw three of The Monkees in my dinky little home town years later in 1988. (Michael Nesmith didn't venture downunder.) I still have the keyring I bought that night from the merchandise shop out front. Couldn't afford the t-shirt at the time but with hindsight, the keyring had more longevity. Loved those boys. RIP Davy Jones.

    When I first read this just before 7 I was on my way downstairs. I turned the radio on and Daydream Believer was being played. Very, very sad.

    Very sad news. I still can't quite believe it.

    Even though I'm in my 20s, I listened to the Monkees and I also watched repeats of the TV show.
