Hello,

I've written a vampire short story (c. 4500 words in its latest draft, I'm hoping to tighten it up a little, but its basically done.)

I was wondering if anyone knew of any magazines/outlets at all that publish that kind of story? Modern horror/vampire genre?

I've had a look on-line and found Bite Me magazine, which does look fun, but not much else.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Try Dark Tales.  www.darktales.co.uk (i think). They do horror and all sorts.  There is also black petals.  I can't think of any others off hand.

Dark Tales looks great - although they're not accepting submissions at the moment, I'll keep an eye on them.

I subscribe to a US magazine called Hungur, for which I am trying to submit a piece.  The people at SamsDotPublishing are often on the lookout for new talent.  Give them a try - they do have clear guidelines on submissions. http://samsdotpublishing.com/HungurGL.htm
