I was talking to someone about twitter and how there seem to be lots of 'buy my book' tweets and we seem the same (probably scheduled) comments over and over but there's not much real interaction. We're trying an experiment to help change that.
If you'd like to join us, please do - just start your own conversations or join ours, using the hashtag #writingchat tonight at 8.

Good luck with it.
It took weeks to get #dorsethour off the ground, but now it's a very interactive group of people, so these things do need a commitment to work.
Best not talk about #buckshour - suffice to say they weren't ready for me. Or TN.
'Titter', sm?

It's all a bit confusing. I really am becoming more technophobic the older I get.
I used to take the p**s out of my Dad when he constantly asked me to set the timer on the video; what goes around comes around eh!

I don't really understand about podcasts ...
Just got this DM (a command?):
'Like my author page and I will return the favor[sic.].'
Is this a type of blackmail? Would you oblige?
Yes, I picked up several followers, too, last night. I've had loads of Twitter notifications today about favourites and retweets. I've even found that confusing!
It does go to prove how powerful social media is in connecting with others and sending messages about 'writhing' across the globe.
Here's me thinking this #writingchat was tonight! It's not Wednedsay today is it.
Will try to join in next week PM.
To join in, just log in to twitter and use the hashtag #writingchat (Please remember, this is a discussion, not a sales pitch.)
Can't we do 'pass the shell before you're allowed to speak'?
