Yes, I didn't realise how many I'd read until I started counting. I've been getting into the habit of reading for a couple of hours before I go to bed, as it does help me relax, so I drop to sleep quicker.
I only seem to read in bed before I go to sleep these days, Carol, and don't get through as many books as I used to. When I used the library I often read the half dozen books we were allowed for a three week loan. Now I am lucky to read a couple of books a month. Sometimes when I have had books to review I have managed more.
Great to see this continue, Liz, as I commented on the site. It is a bit like taking your pencil for a walk when doodling but in your case, using words.
I am sure there are many couple who can relate to your story, Lizy. Spot on as usual.
The image intrigues me. It is so very like a room at Waddesdon Manor when decorated for Christmas opening. I used to go every year but not for the past couple of years. Their chandelier is made of shattered crockery and assorted cutlery which appears to be the case in this instance. There is only the one, the distant one being the reflection in an overmantle mirror. It sounds odd but is in fact very striking.

Not sure I can maintain the momentum for a serial, but time will tell.
Looking forward to the next instalment. I'm sure it is lurking at the back of your brain!

Seeing a few signs in the garden today of brighter things to come prompted my latest blog post. Signs and symbolism are not just things of the past.

I decided to do a blog post inspired by watching the workmen work on the installation. Well, at least it is writing of a sort.
