I didn't win but I was in the final ten. I'm not good with shouting out my successes (not used to it I suppose) but I did want to share. I received a box of books today of the Costa shortlisted books, a card with £75 on to spend in Costa Coffee and it's going to be on the website so something to put on my writing CV. It's something to put on my website when I get it up and running as well as it's a bit short on detail at the moment.

Thanks for all the encouragement. I've been writing for about three years but it is only this year that things have started happening (only small things and very slowly). I go through great waves of optimism to thinking I'm fooling myself. What I've learnt from this forum and reading some posts on the Nanowrimo site from professional authors is that it's normal.
