"Blind date with a book"
Probably along with all the other libraries in the borough, our local library has a "Blind date with a book" scheme. There's a display of paperbacks (judging by the size) that have been wrapped in white paper to make them anonymous and you can pick any one to take home.
Could be a good way to get acquainted with an author you wouldn't normally choose.
