Poem to be published in Family History Monthly

I wrote a poem about my charcoal burning ancestors and sent it to Poetry Corner, Family History Monthly and I have won the poetry prize for the month( not sure which month it will be published) and I have won a copy of Michael Braddick's book God's Fury, Englands Fire, A New History of the English Civil Wars.
Not really interested in this period of history, but still nice to have won it and perhaps I will get interested now!

Well done Kateyanne. This was a magazine I had never read so didn't know they had a poetry slot. I looked them up on the internet out of curiosity, and saw that the January issue has a feature about the surname Barnes - that's my mum's maiden name. I have promptly ordered a copy. Thanks for pointing it out!

I heard that my poem will be in the Feb edition.
Apparently they sent me the wrong book as prize and they are sending me another one -The Luck of the devil the story of operation Valkyrie there is a film coming out with Tom Cruise in it based on the book.
They said I can keep the other book anyway!
