That's one ...
That's another ... I wonder if there are any more.
And this one.
I'll just see if I can find any more.
That's probably the last.
I've just received details of the latest public lending rights. 'The Loss of Innocence' was borrowed 136 times; and 'A Different Kind of Love' 38 times. This means that, for the first time, I qualify for a payment in respect of library borrowings.

I'm in the money ... Well, all right, £15.25 is hardly going to change my lifestyle. It's the PLR on my books. The Dandelion Clock was borrowed 85 times, while The Loss of Innocence was borrowed well over 100 times.

I've just been notified that I'll be receiving over £50 in respect of last year's Public Lending Right (payment for library borrowings). The Dandelion Clock brought in a massive £34!
So if you want to help a fellow Talkbacker, but don't want to shell out for the book, ask your local library to get hold of a copy for you.

Public Lending Right July 2007 June 2008 (from books borrowed from UK libraries)
Nearly £40, with The Dandelion Clock being borrowed 300 times; and The Loss of Innocence 150 times.
Hooray!
My PLR for 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2008
"Railwaywomen" - - borrowed 281 times.
"Women of Victorian Sussex" --- borrowed 103 times (it's only in six Sussex libraries)
Income £22.96.
The money doesn't matter to me. The most useful thing about PLR is to see how many people are borrowing your books!
Just contemplating that 281 people found "Railwaywomen" (which, let's face it, is a very specialist subject!) useful for their research confirms that the book was worth all the time and effort I put into it. I'd love to know who these readers were, whether they found it useful etc etc but even PLR doesn't tell you that!
I forgot to register my recent book (July 2008) so I've lost half a year on that one, but thanks to this thread acting as a prompt I will go and do so immediately.
Stirling - thanks
