Poem of the Month on Write Out Loud, March 09

Hi all,

Sorry for these occasional flying visits. Just wanted to direct the poets and performers amongst us to http://www.writeoutloud.net (the premier website for spoken word performers in the north of England) where my poem "The Greatest Gig of All" is currently (March 2009) Poem of the Month!

Congratulations, Amboline! Great news and I loved the poem. It reminded me of the night Roy Castle died. I had spoken to him the week before on the telephone with regard to his contribution to a book of advice from famous people I was putting together for a charity (still waiting for a sponsor), and that night I had a dream that he was being greeted in heaven with a fanfare of angels, amidst great celebration. What a gig that made, too.
