  • Is this the one that got cancelled previously Jay?
  • Think so. They might even be reading one of mine!
  • Let's hope so, Jay. That would be good news.
  • Great news, Jay. Would like to go to this Foyles place.
  • Just as a matter of interest - is Foyles book shop the one that was 84 Charing Cross Road (as in the book title by Helen Hanff)?

    - same road, different number.
  • Ta Jay - I just wondered

They've posted one of my flash fiction pieces on their website.
  • That's a good story Jay.
Have you ever considered turning that into a longer story?

The story of my life, if you forgive the expression. I've got flash fiction pieces that might work as short stories; and short stories that might work as novels - only I don't think I've got the energy/patience/whatever to do it. I even wrote to Jane Wenham Jones but, just after, they did a piece along the same lines so she said she couldn't use my letter (I read her reply to the other writer, but there was no magic wand, only hard work).

I posted piece of flash fiction on Talkback, and Bill made some suggestions. If I can find it, I'll add the link here.

But I still haven't given up hope of someone publishing my flash fiction collection.

    Extra:

There are two bits on Talkback, under VERY SIMILAR titles. If you search using the word swap you'll find two swap/exchange threads. Bill's suggestion was a whisper, I'm afraid.
  • Perhaps you will get to doing this sometime Jay. I'm sure you can do it, you just need to find a way that works for you.
