My New Non-Fiction Book - Published! :)

edited April 2009 in - Writing Tales
Not really that relevant to this forum as the book that has just been published is non-fiction. Find it here:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creating-Hollywood-Style-Movies-Premiere-Elements/dp/0321606213/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1239529613&sr=8-2

Creating Hollywood-Style Movies with Adobe Premiere Elements 7 was originally written by Carl Plumer for an earlier version of Premiere Elements and was designed to show how parents can make special effects movies staring their children, without the Hollywood budget.

This new version updates the book to version 7 of the software (video editing) and has several brand new chapters in there written by me.

I received my author copies last week and I can tell you they look very cool. Full colour with crisp glossy pages of text.

So, that's two books for me this year. One fiction (Ordinary Monsters) and one Non-Fiction (Creating Hollywood-Style Movies with Adobe Premiere Elements 7).

Stop that cloud, I want to get on board ;)

  • This forum isn't just fiction is it? I though it was for any writing... if not then what am I doing here?

p.s. As a predominantly non-fiction writer I've never considered my posts about non-fiction articles as not being relevant to this forum. (oops there goes another double negative)
  • Wow. Well done RG.
  • Well done!
  • Well done RandomGuy. :-)
  • Thanks guys :)

I made the comment about non-fiction as I thought writers news was mainly focused on fiction... Guess I was wrong there ;)

But yes, having two books in one year feels good. Trouble is... How do I top that???
  • Go for the treble!
  • Ah, you've not been reading the magazine carefully enough! Gordon Wells writes on non fiction all the time, D ST J mostly does, there are articles and news reports on non fiction. Nothing, when it comes to writing, is really specialised, is it?
You top that by repeating it next year and the year after ... LOL!
  • Congratulations! Hope you can continue with your success! :)
  • Congratulations RG. :-D
  • Well done, RG!

  • Congratulations, Randomguy! Very well done! A lot of us write mostly non-fiction - it's for everyone.

    Thanks S & V :)

Yep two books in one year feels good, just hope I won't be sitting here in five years time wondering why I haven't published any since ;)

Maybe I should go for something different for the hattrick and get a play peformed :)
  • You go for it RG. Congratulations.
