Well,I suppose she has written a lot ... and this is an award for achievement in fiction on the world stage. Can't say I'm a fan, but good for her anyway!

I've never read her work, but delighted to see a short story writer being recognised. I LIKE books of short stories and have never understood why publishers claim they are unpopular.

I agree claudia - I also like books of short stories (including Alice Munro though I haven''t come across any of hers for a while) and I'm sure we're not alone! :)
