Not had a problem with WordPress, though I host my own version and use a widget to connect to the free hosted sites. Update on the blog - I'm putting together an SFF event.
I decided I needed a more reliable source of blog fodder, so I've instigated a series of A to Z posts relating to writing. Last week's covered adverbs:
I've been 'tidying up' my blog - removing and adding blogs from the 'blogs that I follow' list.
Since the A-Z challenge, I have additional followers and additional blogs to follow and I'm also a bit fed up of posting comments on blogs which never reciprocate. I’m referring to ones I've been following for about a year, with nary a comment from that person on my blog.
Don't get me wrong: I don't take it personally if my blog content doesn't interest someone, but if I regularly comment on someone's blog it seems a bit impolite of them not to reciprocate at least occasionally. After a year, I think it's fair to give up with them.
It doesn't mean I'll stop reading those blogs - but I won't comment or give them free advertising on my blog page any more because I don't think they deserve my loyalty.
I'd be interested to hear your opinion. Do you have regular tidy-ups?
p.s. I'm not having a pop at other TB bloggers incidentally!
I'm still not sure how to follow all the bloggers who follow me. For some I get emails, but I am not convinced I follow everyone as I don't get much notification.
Anyway, going back to your point, maybe others find it impossible to comment, like me. The will might be there but not the facility.
Aha! I commented via my phone and that worked although I had to select 'Unknown' as my identity. For some reason, it wanted to post under my husband's name so I had to select a temporary account. Ho hum...
Someone is assisting me to change the name into my new author's pen name:- LH Thorn. So the domain name will change and I'll update that when it happens.
She is always going to 'customise' it with some images to spruce up its immediacy to the eye. Hope some of you check this out, and I'll be doing that with some of the above blog sites, too.
Just to add, I will be putting the opening scene from my ebook onto a blog post. So any feedback on that would be welcome.. Thanks again, Claudia..
I go through my list of blogs I follow quite regularly, but of the 98 followers I have, only a handful are genuine - the rest fell by the wayside once the A-Z 2015 was over. I wish THEY would weed ME out so I know what the real score is!
Another On the Road Surprises post. (comments have tailed off - not sure if it's due to holidays, inertia or boredom with my blog - I'll do something different next week if it continues.)
Still busy with other writing projects, so I'm going to continue to re-post last year's insect mini-series, with apologies for any of you who may have read it already.
