Nice surprise this morning

Last August I submitted a few lines to Woman's Weekly for the 'My Favourite Place' slot in the magazine. For a while afterwards I checked the magazine on the shelves, but then forgot all about it.

This morning I received a cheque for £10 for it - it was apparently published on 9 March. I've just been in touch with WW and have ordered a back issue so I can actually see it.

Not a big success, but it's really cheered me. :-)

Meg, my mum always brings me her old Womans Weeklies, and I just hunted the pile. I have a 9 March copy so I have seen it before you! Well done. Filey sounds lovely and they have used a nice photo of it - and one of you! Good payment for such a short piece. We will all be writing in now!
