Macmillan New Writing Scheme Closed

I just got round to checking out Macmillan New Writing Scheme, after months, nay years thinking about submitting, and guess what? Due to the high volume of submissions they have received they will not consider any submissions made since May 2011. Serves me right for not getting my a***e in gear and submitting earlier.

Back to the drawing board.

    Well at least you hadn't submitted after May and done all that work only to be told you're too late...That must be worse than not having submitted at all.

    Casey, I dithered with a crime publisher and the same thing happened.

    Macmillan isn't the same publishers who have Authonomy by any chance?

    It's only temporarily closed to submissions, this isn't unusual in publishing.
