Useful tip for locating your characters,schools,homes etc

I am probably preaching to the converted here but this is a tip for those who have not discovered this means of locating your characters, e.g. homes, schools, etc etc etc. Yes I know that bit sounds like the King and I but when you are researching your character locations, do an individual search for each. As my story is located up in Scotland, in Inverness and across on the Black Isle, I am doing a search for houses, schools, work places etc and make notes

  • And even if your place does not actually exist- it's entirely ficticious, you can still use actual elements from a real place to create your fictitious place.
