Inserting a file in Word 2007

edited December 2011 in - Writing Problems
Does anyone know how to insert a file into a document in Word 2007? In Word 2003 it was simple, you just clicked on insert then file. I can't see how you do this in Word 2007 and I'm having to resort to opening the file and copying and pasting it into the open document. A bit of a fiddle when you have thirty-five chapters to put into one document. Does anyone know an easier way?

Comments

  • Casey what format is the file in?
  • It's been renamed Insert Text from File and moved to the Object menu on the Insert tab.

  • Thanks LilyC. Strange place to hide it. I'm finding that everything takes longer in Word 2007. Nothing is as simple as it used to be. Progress I suppose. :-) .
  • Progress indeed!
