Rescued from Bosnian Hell

Meet Alexia, brought back yesterday from near Harlow by a specialist pet transport to a safe, happy home with me and Monty & Jilly. She and two other dogs had travelled from Bosnia to the pick-up point in Hungary. If you could see, and read, the horrors in that country, Romania and the Ukraine, you would understand that seeing her photo, touched me, and seeing having a game in the back garden with Jilly has made the effort, cost worthwhile.

All thanks to you, she can now look forward to a happy, fun-filled future.
What a difference a few days makes to Alexia feeling safe and secure. She now roars round the garden barking happily
I can imagine her racing around the garden and making friends with the other dogs. Lovely!
Taken this morning as she relaxed on the stairs with her two new buddies
Move aside, Doctor Doolittle...
After only two weeks, Alexia has settled in well, but does have trouble getting Monty's attention....as we all do!
Only four weeks since Alexia joined us and what a difference. Full of energy, plays all day with both dogs. Taken this afternoon on a walk L-R Alexia, Jilly, and Monty (the boss) being independent of TWO women!
A year on, Alexia is brilliant and the situation in Bosnia is dire. Govt sanctioned mass killings by untrained dog catchers on the streets. Glad our local newspaper ran the story and trying to get more media attention
