I have been fretting, bleating and seeking advice for some time about this and that book as it metamorphosises from virtual to physical - and I'd like to thank everyone for their patience and input.
^:)^
This is the paperback outcome of 'Salt', a children's seaside mystery. You may remember me attempting to tweak the blurb:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Salt-Helen-Laycock/dp/1499276257/ref=la_B006PGFVL6_1_9_bnp_1_pap?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1399369854&sr=1-9I'm not going to change another thing, btw, so please do not suggest anything; my nerves won't take it! Just thought you might like to see it.
My kindle version is currently the old version (so don't buy it - yet!).
In the paperback, I have tightened up the text and inserted em dashes, thanks to my newfound knowledge (courtesy of TB), plus enhanced it with a few other touches thanks to a very knowledgeable TB member.
As there are images inside, it's very hard to format them into kindle and I need Hubs to help again before changing it.
I shall have to choose my moment.

Congratulations.
Well done - it's always a great moment when you actually finish something - though in your head for the next 5 years you will always think S*** I should have added this or changed that - don't worry about it you could go on forever - some people do and never get anything 'out there' - for some reason people (like me) who have virtually no OECD at all suddenly develop it when they write.
all the best with it...

Yes, that was a great find!
It wasn't too painful
:-*
What age group is it aimed at? I have two grandsons - a 7 year old who has only just learned to read, and a nearly 11year old who's been reading since he was three.
I'm pleased with the inside, too. I've added a few unique touches!
Lizy, it's for the 7 - 12 readership. This is one that was almost traditionally published, but fell at the last fence.
I now realise that it takes about a week for any changes to be processed.
Oooh. Toby. I like the sound of him.

Edited to add: I'm not sure if I showed you this one, The Secret of Pooks Wood (my fifth paperback):
