  • Floodlight turner-oner!
  • Then there's the theatre boy who lights all the candles in the footlights ...
  • Lol!

    I've found a candle-maker in Bristol...

Managed to persuade the shy astronomer to read the limerick he quoted at us. It is an interesting limerick - I found the author, who was a poet/scientist called A H Reginald Buller.

It still has 4 years of copyright to run - but I wrote to his biographer to see if he could point me the way to family to ask to use it, and he said that he died without ever having married, and with only very relations. It is used very widely in science circles and he said he'd have been very tickled that it was going to be used, and to go ahead.

    So we are.
  • Liz, the ALCS handle many deceased writers' estates. Might be worth checking with them first.
  • He's American. He has no estate. He wrote a few poem, but was a scientist, mainly.
  • Ah if he's American their copyright is a different length anyway.
